In recognition of the widespread economic impact of the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) situation the City of Atchison is offering deferred principal payments for the Downtown Facade Loan Program and the E-Community Small Business Loan Program for up to 4 months.
The Downtown Facade Loan Program offers 0% financing for up to 7 years for eligible exterior building improvements in the downtown district. In the Facade Loan Program, the City is offering fully deferred payments for up to four months. There are presently nine facade loan recipients that are actively repaying their loans.
The E-Community Small Program offers gap financing at below market interest rates to assist in small business startups, expansions, and acquisitions. In the E-Community Program, the City is offering interest only payments for up to four months. There are presently 21 E-Community loan recipients that are actively repaying their loans.
