Phlebotomist

Position Overview

Atchison Hospital is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team! This position receives patient requisitions for ordering of tests. This position also performs phlebotomy on patients, checks quality of blood, and assumes responsibility for safety and comfort of patients following established standards and practices.

Job Description

• Receives patient requisitions for ordering of tests
• Performs phlebotomy on patients and checks quality of blood
• Assumes responsibility for safety and comfort of patients following established standards and practices
• Performs clerical duties including answering phones, message taking, filing, charting, and stocking of supplies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exemplary customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist
